River Cane Flutes

The River Cane flute is probably one of the earliest musical instruments. Because it is hollow, it would have been relatively easy for ancient peoples to craft a flute from this material.  River Cane is found in many places in Israel. I use the River Cane which grows along the Yarkon River to build my flutes.

The  flutes pictured above are side blown, 6 hole, key of Dm, approximately eleven inches long and may be purchased for $18. (International Shipping $12)

                                                   Not Available at this time.

We also make an easy to play end-blown Shepherds flute.
